Released in 1975, The Lizard was part of the fifth wave of World's Greatest Super-Heroes sold by Mego (alongside Green Arrow, The Hulk, Iron Man, Falcon, and Green Goblin).
WAVE FIVE
Type 1 Lizard
Lizard was available on a Type 1 body with metal rivet joints.
The Lizard's head sculpt was reused for the Gorn figure in the Stark Trek line.

Type 1 Lizard was sold in a window box only. Early boxes have a printing error with "The" overlapping "Lizard" on the front of the box.

Type 2 Lizard
The Lizard was also available on a Type 2 body with plastic joints. Type 2 Lizard was sold in a window box and on the standard blister card.
For a short time, the Lizard was also sold in the new logo window box.

1975A Carded Lizard
One of the rarest packaging variations, Type 2 Lizard was sold in very small quantities on a blister card in 1975. Only a few factory sealed examples have been discovered, including mine.

Fist Fighting Lizard
In 1975, the Lizard was released in the U.K. by Palitoy on a fist fighting body with "Karate Kung Fu Action." Sold on a card, Fist Fighting Lizard has a black button on his back that controls his arms. Some examples have stitched "vents" under the arms of his lab coat.
