Type 1 Captain America
Between 1973 and 1976, Captain America was available on a Type 1 body with metal rivet joints. Early issue shields have a glossy sticker, while late issue shields have a matte sticker. Type 1 Captain America was sold in a window box, on the Kresge-style card, and on the standard card.

Type 2 Captain America
Between 1976 and 1982, Captain America was available on a Type 2 body with plastic joints. Later issue figures can have a fabric star and unsewn belt. Type 2 Captain America was sold in a window box and on the standard card.

Fist-Fighting Captain America
In 1975, Captain America was available on a fist fighting body with "Karate Kung Fu Action." Sold on a card in the U.K., Fist Fighting Captain America has a black button on his back that controls his arms. Some examples have "vents" in the suit under the arms
