In 1974, Mego sold secret identity outfits for Bruce Wayne (Batman), Dick Grayson (Robin), Clark Kent (Superman), and Peter Parker (Spider-Man).
The outfits were sold as sets of two in the Montgomery Wards 1974 Christmas catalog. The sets were Bruce Wayne/Dick Grayson and Clark Kent/Peter Parker. Each set included two heads and two sets of clothes, but no bodies. They appeared on page 322 of the catalog.

Originally listed for $4.49 per set in the 1974 Christmas catalog, the price was reduced to $1.49 to $1.99 per set in 1975.

The outfits were shipped in plain cardboard mailer boxes with the Wards catalog number printed on two sides (48-24713 for Bruce Wayne/Dick Grayson and 48-24714 for Clark Kent/Peter Parker).

The outfits were shipped inside clear plastic bags sealed with tape. Some bags were marked with red lettering printed inside a red square that reads, “FOR EASIER DRESSING USE POWDER ON THE ARMS. CAUTION: RECOMMANDED FOR CHILDREN OVER 3 YEARS OF AGE. MADE IN HONG KONG.” Note that the word "RECOMMANDED" is misspelled.

I purchased my original boxed set on eBay in 2017. The set was complete, near mint, and had never been displayed before. The set was ordered from the 1974 Montgomery Wards Christmas catalog by an elderly toy collector in Oklahoma. The collector opened the mailer boxes to view the contents and then placed them on metal shelves in his workshop with all of his other toys and collectibles, where they remained for 30 years. In 2004, the entire collection was sold to a toy store in Texas. In 2017, the set was auctioned off in an unmarked lot of generic mailer box toys.

Bruce Wayne (Batman)
Bruce Wayne shares a head sculpt with Removable Cowl Batman (his alter ego). He comes with a grey suit jacket with black buttons, grey pants, white shirt with blue tie, and black shoes.

Bruce shares a head sculpt with Removable cowl Batman, Tex Willer, Jet Jungle, and the Mystery Astronaut. Bruce Wayne and Removable Cowl Batman have black hair and black eyes with white pupils; Tex Willer has black hair and black eyes with no pupils; the Mystery Astronaut has black hair and blue eyes with no pupils; and Jet Jungle has white hair, large black eyebrows, and blue eyes with black pupils.

Clark Kent's hat and glasses are unique to the figure. Similar black hats were included with the Action Jackson Cowboy outfit and Wild Bill Hickock figure, but they are different molds.
